What is a good alternative to Lensa for AI portraits?
Short answer: FaceTwin is a Lensa and Remini alternative that runs in the browser: one selfie in, an AI portrait in anime, 3D, pixel art, comic, illustrated or corporate style in about 15 seconds. First HD image free with no app or account; then $1.99 each, no subscription. The original selfie is not stored.
Lensa (by Prisma Labs) is a mobile photo-editing app known for AI avatar packs, and Remini (by Bending Spoons) is a mobile app for AI photo enhancement and portraits; both sell most AI features as in-app purchases or subscriptions. If you want AI portraits without installing an app, FaceTwin works in any browser: tick the consent box, upload one selfie, choose a style — anime, 3D animated, pixel art, comic, an illustrated profile picture or a corporate photo — and get an image of your own face in about 15 seconds. The model keeps your eyes, skin tone, hairstyle and glasses and changes only the style. The first HD image is free with no account; then $1.99 each or $4.99 for five, one-time. The original selfie is not stored. FaceTwin is not affiliated with Lensa or Remini.

When an app is the better choice
- You also want to retouch skin, fix old blurry photos or edit video on your phone every week — a subscription app covers all of that.
- You want a big pack of avatars in many themes at once.
- You prefer working offline inside one app.
FaceTwin fits better when you want a handful of portraits that look like you, from one selfie, and don’t want to install an app or remember to cancel a trial.

Make an AI portrait in three steps
- Pick a style above. Tick the consent box: you are 18+ and the photo is of you.
- Upload one clear selfie — or take one with your phone. Face the camera in soft light, no beauty filter.
- Get your portrait in about 15 seconds. The first HD image is free; download it or try another style.
Privacy: what happens to your selfie
Your selfie is sent through FaceTwin’s server to the AI image provider only after you tick the consent box. FaceTwin does not save the original photo: it is used once in memory to make the portrait and then discarded. The result is kept for seven days so you can download it, then deleted. Nothing is used to train a model of your face.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free alternative to Lensa?
Yes, for a first try: FaceTwin’s first HD portrait is free with no account and no app. After that, each image is $1.99 or five for $4.99 — one-time payments, no subscription to cancel.
Is this also a Remini alternative?
For AI portraits and avatars from a selfie, yes. FaceTwin does not restore old or blurry photos, which is Remini’s other main use.
Do I need to upload many selfies like Lensa’s avatar packs?
No — one selfie is enough. The image model edits that photo directly, so there is no training step and no wait.
Will it still look like me?
The prompt keeps your face shape, eyes, skin tone, hairstyle, facial hair and glasses, and changes only the drawing style. No slimming or whitening.
Is FaceTwin related to Lensa or Remini?
No. FaceTwin is an independent website and is not affiliated with Lensa, Prisma Labs, Remini or Bending Spoons.
Is my photo uploaded?
Not for local lookalikes or face analysis: the model runs in your browser, so your selfie, landmarks and descriptor stay on your device. AI portraits, including the first free one, and full reports send your photo through our server to the AI provider after a free first-portrait request or a credit purchase, and separate upload consent. Reports also send your numeric measurements. FaceTwin does not save the original photo; it is discarded from request memory after processing.
